Preparation for NaNoWriMo

*Warning! This post is very nerdy!*

I love books.

I love reading them.

I love flipping through the pages...and I love the smell.

I also love writing.

I went through all my books and picked out all the ones that could ever possibly help me during NaNoWriMo.

And this is what I found.

Tada! Aren't I weird? I have to label everything in pretty colors and set them out nicely. I can't just put them in a pile on the corner of my desk. That would be too simple and unorganized.

And just because I can, I took pictures of all of them up close. Just because I can. I don't have to. But I can. So I did. (LOL! I just typed that and went "what?" I'm going to leave it cause I think it's funny though.=~)

I am currently reading The Everything Creative Writing Book. And what do you know, on page 4 it says that you should line up all the books that are helpful to you when writing a novel. Ha! I'm already ahead of the book!

And here's some more books.

Let's zoom in on that fun book, shall we? (Ok, that's the second time my fingers have typed something completely ridiculous..."shall we take a stroll around the park, William?" That sounds so prehistoric!)

Viola in Reel Life by Adriana Trigiani. It's about this girl that gets dumped off in a boring boarding school in Indiana. I'm only on like the third chapter, but it's interesting so far.

And what makes it even better is that it's signed. Signed books are always nice.

Ok, I'm off topic.

My point is, if you can't tell already, I'm really excited about NaNoWriMo.

I even went to their online How to Write a Novel in 30 Days booklet and printed out some of the pages.

The booklet had some really good tips, and "making interesting characters" worksheets.

It is also very positive. =~]

I found the perfect journal for my story! Nothing better than a smily face, right?

*Note: During the month of November, you all have permission to ask me how my story's going, and then stomp on my foot if I say something stupid like, "I quit" or "I haven't worked on it a while."

11 DAYS TILL MY BIRTHDAY!!!
