Octowrimo

It's almost that time of year again. The best month ever. And I'm not saying that because it's my birthmonth (is that a word?) Although, my birthday is something I always look forward to...

STOP! NANO-TIME!

NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) is coming up in just 23 days, 4 hours, 58 minutes, and 50 seconds!!!

I remember last year. It actually wasn't too hard. This year will definitely be more challenging. I'd like to increase my wordcount goal to 15,000, however, I think that may be a little too overwhelming, so for now, I'm sticking with 13,000.

This month, October, I am doing a pre-Nanowrimo that I like to call Octowrimo. My word count goal is only 5,000. It's just a little conditioning so that once November comes around, I'm not completely swamped.

There is nothing that gets me motivated like a chart. It's so fun to fill in the little squares with smiley faces or peace signs, or bubbles.

Last night, I wrote some. Not too much. Only 344 words. But it was still something.

And, I finally figured out how to get page numbers on the bottom of the page!

Off I go to CJ's beanbag chair, which is very ideal for writing! :)
