Snow Diaries- Day 5

This is the fifth day that school was cancelled. With the weekends and MLK Day, we'll have been out of school for ten days! That's longer than spring break!

I've gotten lots of writing done during these snow days, and I think the main reason that I'm writing so much each day is that I don't know when it'll end. During this week, I didn't know if I would have school the next day, so I wrote like I expected to have homework the next night. It worked. I've written a lot. Whereas during spring break, I know I have a set amount of days, and I put it off for the next day.

Today marks one month until my rough draft deadline. I am 99.99% sure that I'll make that deadline, and when I do, I'll celebrate. Then I'll wait exactly two weeks before I start editing, so that I'm reading it like a reader, and not the author. The only thing is, I really want to edit. I'm not sure how I'll ocupy my mind during those two weeks...but I know that I'll be doing my homework before 7:30 each night! (Right now, I come home and eat, then write, then eat, then maybe write some more, then I eventually get around to homework.)

Yesterday, I finished all my Letterbox Trading Cards. They were images of Elizabeth I's signature and Henry VIII's signature.

Here's Henry's

And here's Elizabeth's

Now for the LTCs:
I burned the edges of Henry's to make it look old. I think this one looks like a pirate's treasure map.

 All the Henrys.

I love Elizabeth I's signature. So elegant.

Now, all 16 of the finished cards are sitting in a envelope in my room, awaiting mail time, when they will be sent off to Connecticut! The other people's cards should arrive sometime in early February. That'll be exciting to see all the different designs!
